AMTD completes the HK IPO of Koolearn
On 28th March 2019, Koolearn Technology Holding Limited (“Koolearn”, stock code: 1797.HK), a leading online extracurricular education service provider in China, was successfully listed on the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX). Serving as a Joint Bookrunner and Joint Lead Manager, AMTD successfully completed the IPO of Koolearn and assisted the Company to land on the international capital markets. Koolearn’s listing is AMTD’s 3rd education stock IPO in past 3 years and the 7th IPO completed by AMTD in 2019.

Koolearn offered 165 million shares with issue price at HK$10.2 per share and gross proceeds of US$214million. The Company’s business was established in 2005 by New Oriental, a pioneer in China’s private education industry with over two decades of experience. Leveraging New Oriental’s extensive experience, the Company offers superior online learning experience to students through a wide spectrum of high-quality programmes categorized into three core segments, namely university, K-12, and pre-school online education segments.
