AMTD Charity | AMTD Charity Foundation Visits Ronald McDonald House
Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival to celebrate family while giving thanks to crop harvest. Following its founder Dr. Calvin Choi's vision to give back to society and in line with AMTD Charity Foundation's mission to support the community in need, Dr. Timothy Tong, BBS, JP, CEO of AMTD Charity Foundation, and Mr. Yatkin Sin, SBS, CSDSM, JP, Director of AMTD Charity Foundation and Vice Chairman of AMTD Group, donated AMTD mooncake sets to families at the Ronald McDonald House in Hong Kong.
Ronald McDonald House is the cornerstone project of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Hong Kong. Asia’s first Ronald McDonald House was built in Hong Kong in 1996. The House offers a temporary residence for families with seriously ill children receiving medical treatment at the hospital. The House provides comprehensive facilities including 23 family units (including one special needs room especially designed for families with bone marrow transplant child patients),a common kitchen, library, study room, play area, communal dining area, an organic garden.
