AMTD Charity | AMTD awarded for effort in National Poverty Alleviation Campaign

Organised by the Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, "The Road to Victory - Documentaries of Hong Kong and Macao Compatriots' Participation in the National Poverty Alleviation Campaign to Build an All-Round Prosperous Society" exhibition was held earlier this year at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Mrs. Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of HKSAR Government, Ms. Lu Xinning, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central Government in Hong Kong, Mr. Fang Jianming, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, Mr. Jiang Zaizhong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group and Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Mr. John Lee, Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR Government, as well as more than 150 public figures attended the opening ceremony. At the ceremony, Mrs Carrie Lam, and Ms. Lu Xinning both delivered speeches.

The exhibition covers a number of themes, such as “Win the Fight Against Poverty, Realize the Dream of the Century", “National Effort to Build a Well-Off Society", “Joint Effort by Hong Kong and Macao", “State-Owned Enterprises Taking Lead in Fight Against Poverty”, and "Hong Kong and Macao's Contribution to the Fight Against Poverty", etc. The exhibition featured rich graphical details to showcase China’s effort and determination to fight against poverty since the 18th CPC National Congress, the results from all the initiatives to build a well-off society, as well as giving tribute to Hong Kong and Macao compatriots’ contribution to this fight against poverty.
