Calvin Choi Leads Organizations to Donate 100,000 Test Kits

Dr. Calvin Choi leads The Hong Kong Youth Association, Hong Kong Youth FinTech Association and AMTD Charity Foundation, and teams up with the Hong Kong Island Federation and Airstar Bank, to donate 100,000 Covid-19 rapid antigen test kits to support Hong Kong's anti-pandemic battle. 50,000 of these test kits will be donated to the Hong Kong SAR Government to support the front line civil servants; the other 50,000 sets will be distributed to students who are sitting for the Hong Kong DSE Examination, other secondary school students and young people in needs. The test kits will be delivered in conjunction with the Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link. We wish to join the concerted efforts from various sectors of the community to fight the pandemic.

Dr. Calvin Choi commented, "Protecting Hong Kong, our common home, and joining hands in combating the pandemic are our common goals and shared responsibilities. We believe that, under the strong support and guidance from our motherland, the Hong Kong SAR Government would lead us to sail through the storm and, win the battle against coronavirus wave. Hong Kong’s lion rock spirit would always steer us towards a better future for Hong Kong.

Hon. So Cheung-wing, Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong and Chairman of Hong Kong Island Federation, added, " Hong Kong is our common homeland, we must step up and align all our efforts to take care and support each other in line with the Government’s directions to fight the pandemic and protect everyone’s health and to preserve lives.”

Mr. Joseph Chan, President of the Hong Kong Youth Association and Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Youth FinTech Association added, “With strong support from the Central Authorities, we are fearless and united to fight the pandemic and protect our homeland, for the youth and ourfuture. I believe the sunny days are in the horizon.”

Mr. Robert Lui, Founding Executive Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Youth FinTech Association, said, “It is the responsibility of every Hong Kong citizen to lead by example and fight the pandemic together. As long as we are all united, Hong Kong will definitely overcome the pandemic, and we will definitely be able to overcome the challenges ahead.”

Hon. Benson Luk, Member of the Legislative Council and Executive Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Youth FinTech Association, added, “As conveyed in President Xi's instructions, we must take all necessary measures and to join force with all sectors of the community to mobilize allavailable resources and manpower to combat the pandemic.”

Mr. Wei Hu, Executive Director of the Board of Directors of Airstar Bank and Founding Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Youth FinTech Association said, “We will do our best to support each other during the pandemic and work together to enable a better tomorrow for Hong Kong.”
